About
Welcome to Jumped the Weis, where moments in sports, and the athletes involved, are analyzed, broken down, and frequently ridiculed. The Weis will examine memorable moments in sports; for example, Vince Carter jumping over 7’2” Frederick Weis’ head in the 2000 Olympics which was aptly titled ‘The Dunk Heard Around The World.’ Obviously, Weis “career” was ended immediately after that moment, and VC reached his peak at that moment, nothing he has done is his career following has lived up to that moment. The Weis will be here to bring you analysis in timeless events such as this, on and off the court or field. The best way to sum it up is that we will observe moments which are the highest of the high for athletes, as well as the lowest of the low. We will be there when athletes reach their peaks, and discuss whether a certain moment was involved in their decline or shine after said moment. It is the same concept applied for television with the term jumping the shark, this is the sport version. It also applies the basis of the hit show My Name is Earl where karma plays a large role in determining what impact these events will have on a particular athelete’s karma.
